VET Entertainment Industry

For VET Entertainment Students, ASPIRE is also able to provide Work Placement opportunities through our additional programs for students completing their mandatory work placement hours. Students will be supervised by the ASPIRE Production Manager and will be provided with set tasks that include working backstage, working front of house and as an usher, and completing tasks relating to business and administration services. 

Stage 6 VET Entertainment Industry Students Work Placement Hours 

For students who: 

  • Can work similarly as the Non-VET Entertainment Industry students. 
  • Are enrolled and are completing the VET Entertainment Industry Course. 
  • Are looking for work placement hours that need completing in line with enrolment requirements. 

Note: VET Entertainment Industry Students completing the application process to include an interview as part of the selection process as this will be subject to limited places available for certain programs

Internship

The Aspire Internship is a paid year long internship where an interested young creatives can gain insight into the running of an arts program in a educational setting. The Aspire intern will work on a variety of projects including the Production and will prepare a regular blog talking about their experience.

Professional Learning

All ASPIRE experiences for students are designed to be professional learning experiences for teachers. However, we also offer targeted professional learning for teachers. Past programs include Music Toolbox (for non-specialist primary teachers), choral conducting and introduction to choirs, ensemble conducting, dance, primary drama, and the Teacher as Artist program. ASPIRE could even provide an in-service day for all staff in Creative Arts shaped to your needs.

Work Experience

The ASPIRE Team can offer opportunities for interested students who have an interest in work experience. Experience will include either working backstage or in administration services for one of our current programs. Students will be supervised by the ASPIRE Production Manager and will be provided with set tasks that include working backstage, working Front of house and as an usher, and completing tasks relating to business and administration services.  

For Students 15-18 (Years 9 and up) who:

  • Are wanting work experience in the Entertainment Industry. 
  • Have an interest in working backstage in a theatre. 
  • Have excellent communication skills. 
  • Can work in a fast paced, team environment. 
  • Can demonstrate independence when completing set activities.
